Hey Guys i'm new here.
Thats because i never had any trouble with my YZ450... Had it stored over the hottest 3 month in my Garage, completely covered n WD40ed. Now yesterday i wanted to start it up to make sure everything goes well to start into the next season, but no, smthg wrong. The bike starts up only with choke, as soon as i "switch off" the choke the engine dies. If i keep it running with choke the exhaust starts getting red within well..seconds, so i switch it back of. If i try to rev it up, engine dies as well. It looks to me as if the engine runs to lean, idle jet is blocked or so. Does anyone had similar problems n knows what to do? I really don't want to start taking the carburator apart to solve the prob...is there any way to fix it? Thanx guys i appreciate it!! Fernando |

Its not to hard. Not much to them. I always learn by doing it. YOu shouldnt have to readjust anything.

I would. They are fixed jets and there should be 2. A main and a pilot jet.

...whats the easiest way to get that thing out? remove the rear shock or over the top of the engine?

pull the rear shock and the airbox... then the carb will come right up at you... the FCR's are a great carb and really easy to work on... if you lived anywhere near Tucson I would just say bring it on over and bring the beer lol
