Changing twist throttle to a thumb throttle

I dont want to hear any BS, I have bought a 2007 YZ250F to play with, and I have been racing Qauds for 10 years and this is what I'm comfortable with, I dont care what YOUR comfortable with and dont want to hear it, I'm looking for good info on what thumb throttle and cable would work and if anybody had some good info. I have heard that the honda qaud thumb and cable will work???

i hear u man i cant help you but i wanna hear the out come as i want to do the same to mine i cant stand twist throttle as i was a quad guy for years too

Honda 400EX or TRX90 have the easiest thumb push out there... they are popular swaps to alot of other quads (especially the Banshee) I think I have a few cables laying around in the garage for the FCR carbs like you have.

Another idea (I know you don't want to hear it, but here it is anyway)... Terry Cable Dual Gasser... Thumb/Twist combo... great product, and I am running 2 of them on my quads so I can use the thumb in tight technical stuff, and the twist throttle on the street.

you should be able to use any cable from whatever quad you get the throttle from... but I would try to get a cable from a 450... the other thing that may factor in is length.

I don't have a good answer for that but if you measure your throttle cable, I can measure the 2 that I have from a TRX450R and a YFZ450 and see if either of those would work.
