Default 2006 wr250F wont shift down

It seems to shift up but there is no spring in the shift lever up or down. I checked that the arm itself is still tight on the shaft and as I move it I can see that the shaft is moving. I have never crashed it on laid it down trying to get off a couple of times. Thoughts?

Sell it and buy a yz wr gearboxes are shiTty.the spring on the geardrum broke, disengaged or something you have to rome the entire cluch assembly you will see that the shaft runs throuhg the casings and hooks around a shaft with a spring type mechanism or its hooks over a pin that is bolted to the the drum chech if its in place if it is and still fucks around the pivet hole where your selector fits in can be worn but get it fixed and sell it all wr geaboxes gives problem especially if you fuck around on tar roads
