Hi All,
Do you have an XV1000 that blows the carbs off on over run ? If so you may a couple of problems :- The blow off valve or pipes connected to it are failing or the nasty one :- The cylinder sleeve has moved within the cylinder if you have this problem the best fix is a spacer below the head gasket (the sleeve only moves a thou) and new head gaskets. After you do this repair re balance the carbs and adjust the mixture strength. While the bike is in bits it's good practice to replace the inlet manifold rubber hoses as with 'blow offs 'they tend to suck air in and make the bike run weak on over run Regards Jim
