Just kidding, but in all seriousness, Jim is all about carbed engines so don't be too surprised if he pops in and starting telling you how wrong you are
Well I see it like this, being EFI you can control your A/F a lot easier with a tuner than turning jets. However there will always be people who like carbs over EFI. I for one would not care to own another carbed 450 yfz. But this bike with EFI is just outstanding when it comes to throttle response.

carbs Rule !!!! you don't need any pc's or electrics and if your out in the cold and things freeze up you can pee on a carb to defrost it .... can you do that with efi without knackering the electrics ....? I dunno mapping intake as well as ignition via a chip could be expensive ... the amount of early CDI/TCI failures we had were untrue. perhaps the same could be true of EFI and after a couple of years use the bug appears in the electrics carbs on the other hand are dead easy to fix (if you understand them !) and with most can be a roadside repair rather than a tow into a shop
Regards Jim

That is all true too. However; there are pros and cons on both sides. It a matter of preference. I like both but EFI is much nicer for me. I like to tune!
