Default New To Forum New Purchase

Im new to the forum and i have a quick question that i hope can be answered. i just purchased two twin 2001 yamaha GP1200R's and i wont be able to get them into the water for a few weeks. i am wondering if there is a way to hook up a garden hose to it so i can start it on land without damaging it.. if this is possible how do i do this. do i need to buy an attachment???
Thanks

Welcome to the forum! Pics of the new toys? I'm sure QuickMick will be able to help you out about running it on land.

Welcome to YF Waverunner! To answer your question there should be a spot to hook up your hose to flush it out. I am not sure how yours hooks up to the hose. There my be an adapter you might have to get, but there definatly should be a spot to hook it up to the hose.

Thx but got some bad news. first off we bought these skis of of craigslist off of two college kids who only put 67hrs on the engines. They looked in AMAZING shape and they had these skis serviced every winter and even had the receipts and EVERYTHING so we went ahead and got them. Before we wanted to drop them in the water we took them to a certified yamaha dealer/mechanic to have everything gone over since they have not been run since 2006. turns out one of the skis has a bad engine. Then mechanic says he did a compression test and it only the result was a compression of 25. he said it should be around 225. (hearing this from my mother who heard it from my father, forgive me if im wrong here.) the mechanic wants $400 just to look and pinpoint exactly whats wrong then go on with repairs from there. is this going to be worth spending the money to fix??? Its a pretty big punch in the gut spending 7,000 on two jet skis and a trailer when one doesnt run. ughh. any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Yikes. Good luck with the fix man. Do you have any other shops around you that can maybe take a look at it?

OUCH!!!! I would definately go around to other shops and get quotes. That is going to be an expensive fix though.
