I have a 93 vxr pro 701 that is in perfect cond...... except for a blown engine. I need to know if a 94' 701 engine will bolt in . The dealers have no cross references to tell me. Anybody?

Yes the 701 is a 701...as long as the exhaust and carb setup is the same. There were twin carb versions and single carb. Most (if not all) the 701 single carb motors were identical. Most of the twin carb versions are all identical. The long blocks are identical but the manifold and exhaust are different.

TurboTodd is correct.
The 650 6M6 and the 701 61X are almost the same. (Single Carb) 701 61X and the 701 62T are the same as far as bolting in the ski. the 62T is the twin carb 701 with 38mm carbs. Electricals will not interchange with these motors, however you can use a complete electrical with any of the motors, from one motor. IE the 61X flywheel wont work in a 62T electrical. There are a few more details but im going to stop there. Any specific questions just ask.
