hello
hard to start cold sometimes needs a shot of starting spray. have to feather the throttle to get it to take off. once it takes off runs fine until you stop. The longer i wait to accelerate the longer i have to feather and jiggle the throttle. eventually it will take off and run at 40-41 mph according to the speedo. so where do i start? fuel lines? carb rebuilds? any input appreciated |

I recently had problems with my Waveraider doing this. It would bog taking off from an idle and would get ok. It also was pretty hard to start and my plugs were wet. I downloaded the service manual for the 701 engine and adjusted the carbs to specs and it runs like a top now. You may just simply need a carb adjustment. I would try that before taking it apart.
Or you may just have bad gas like I did.....
