Hi guys . This is my first post. My 93 VXR pro runs great. 2 days ago we were riding up in Door County. It started stopping (?) Then it would crank and not start. Then start and quit. And back and forth. Now it's just cranky.
It looks like new and I'm planning to keep it for a few more years.

I got lucky on this one. I located the problem in the on -off switch. After 18 years of use, the rubber cap on the key switch developed a couple of small cracks letting water short out the ignition. Usng a small piece of a plastic kitchen trash bag,I placed it over the rubber boot , put the coller nut on and tightened it down. It passed the water hose test. Sled runs great. Now,What do I do with the extra $146.00?
