HI, I'm trying to remove a starter from a 1994 waverunner GP III. I got 4 bolts out but it won't budge. Is there a trick to this or another bolt hidden some where?

MY mistake, i guess i was taken off the exhaust bolts. Where is the starter...under the exhaust? I can't feel any bolts, where are they?

Yes normally under exhaust. Should have 3 bolts in it. Either near front or rear of engine. Sorry mines not here to better help direct you.

OK, I took out the 2 bolts on the starter but it won't slide out so I removed the exhaust. The new starter was delivered today. Can I just slide it back in or do I need to align something first.
PS...Can the gas filters be cleaned on a Yamaha or do they just need to be replaced? It looks like it's a sealed unit. |
