Default New guy needs help please.

Hello Gentlemen,

I need some help. I'm a grandfather and bought my grandson a Yamaha 4 wheeler as all good grandfathers should. It is a 1999 big bear 350 4wd. My problem is I don't know how to tell the model yfm35fghz yfm350fhlc and on and on. I want to order him all the manuals and such as he is a "taker aparter" which I don't mind at all, brings back memories of my youth. Anyway I am hoping one of you guys can tell me how to go about identitying this machine.

Thank you for any help you can provide,

Welcome to the forum
best way of being sure of which model you have is to get the chasiss & engine numbers ... the first 3 digits of the number identify the model (e.g 21V) the rest is the production number which will give you the exact production run the quad was built on ... the model code could last more than one year
Regards Jim
