Hi,
I have recently acquired a 2002 Grizzly 660 that I am sorting out some minor issues on. One of my problems is that the display for the fuel level is not working. It shows the gas pump icon at the top and the "E" at the bottom but shows no fuel level despite having a half full tank. I have unwrapped and examined the two wires from the main loom to the tank (green w/yellow and black wires) and they both have good continuity. I pulled the float and it does show resistance variations at different positions so I think it is working properly. And I can't find any unusual wire crimps or loose connections anywhere. Could it be that the display itself has gone bad? Thanks for any ideas. rjt |

I had an 03 Grizzly that did the same thing. The float sender is simply worn out,for about $40 you can purchase a new one from Yamaha and change it in about 20 minutes.
