Need help with FJ1100- missing part?

Hi all. I've just picked up an '84 FJ1100 in very rough shape. Theres a small square hole in the left side of the fairing. Its where the fuel selector switch would be on the FJ1200. Does anyone know what goes there on the 1100? Thanks, Lou
