Default Yamaha Venture S

Hello Everyone,

I recently purchased an '08 Venture S (One week ago). This is my first Yamaha, and my first bike of this size. As I have researched on the web, it seems to be an outstanding bike. Does anyone here have one of these or one in the same family? I would love to hear your experiences with your ride.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum. Not many cruiser guys in here yet, but good call on picking up a Yamaha. Pics of the bike?

You can post up pictures without creating a garage.
But if you want to create a garage, just:
-click on UserCP in the top navigation bar on this site
-then under My Garage click on Add Vehicle

Hi
Many years ago I had a Venture Royal (about 1982) it was solid and looked like this
my time with it was good but to be fair it would not handle the UK roads very well the bike tended to be a bit slow to react !!! the CASS was great you just dialed the weight in and the suspension adjusted .. cool on another down point the radio cassette was not as good as my mates Wing ... but all in all a much better bike than the Wing

Good Looking Bike JimR, thanks for posting it. Here in the Central Florida area I have access to any kind of bike (New or Used) you can think of. As I did the research I really liked what I was learning about the Yamaha Touring Bikes. I have friends who ride Harley's, Wings and Kaw's, one even has a BMW. For the money I felt I couldn't go wrong with the Venture. It was well below market value. Since I purchased it in August I have put a little over 2000 miles on it. It has performed wonderfully, while getting 45 miles to a US gallon. All and all I am very pleased with this bike. ANd the bonus is, the wife loves the comfort level of the queens seat, so much so she fell asleep on a trip last week and on the way home we stopped and she bought a snack with a cola and ate it as we rode.
