Default VStar 1300 vs 1100 Custom

I'm looking for advice on purchasing my first motorcyle. I've narrowed it down to these two bikes. Either a brand new 2009 Vstar 1300 or a 2008 used Vstar 1100 Custom.

I don't a ton about either. Both are at great prices.

My main question is which would ride better on the highway for a 250 pound guy? (6'1'') Is there anything that I should know about either of these bikes before making my final decision?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

THANKS!

The 1300 by far is a much more comfortable bike to ride. Smoother running, quiet, gets great fuel economy, VERY easy to ride, the steering angles and trail make the bike very forgiving as well. I absolutely love every aspect of the 1300 including the belt drive. the 1100 is shaft drive. Nothing wrong with shaft drive but I prefer a belt.

The ONLY thing I don't like about the 1300 is that it doesn't sound as good as an 1100 with aftermarket pipes. But if you compared the stock exhaust systems, I actually like the way the 1300 sounds. Sounds kind of like a 1700 Warrior in a way.

If I'm not mistaken, the 1300 also has EFI instead of carbs.
