Hi!
My 1996 Seca2 600 randomly died while going 70ish on the freeway. I tried refilling the battery with distilled water and charging it on trickle charge, but still nothing more than a dull glow from the headlights. Think I should buy a new battery? Or could it be something else? I bought the well-used bike off a craiglist ad from a guy who over-filled the oil tank before I took it home. So i took it to a yammie dealer who fixed that issue as well as doing a basic tune-up. Leaving the dealers, the bike was reluctact to start (battery died) and since then hasnt been good at starting (or staying started long enough to warm up). Being a newbie to bikes, I revved the throttle to warm it up on those mornings, which I now learned was the WRONG thing to do... So much to learn apparently!! Anyway thanks for your help!!! oh and btw, it fell out of my helpful but clueless roomate's pickup after the battery died. Any idea as to the best way to get a replacement rearview mirror and right foot peg? |
