Hi fellow yamaha owners.
I am looking at possibly changing carburettors on my xj90086 model and was wondering if any one has some advice from experience with this. The carbs on mine have never had anything done to them, its only done around 40000 klms and doesn’t get used much so I expect the carbs are not in very good condition. I was wondering if any one has put on other types of carbs and what was the results for you,or should I just get the old ones refurbished with some new parts. The bike runs well except, it some times floods and won’t start easily, has a flat spot and a little rough idling. How much do you think new carbs would cost, which ones are best suited and is it worth it and not just do up the old ones. I have herd the original piston type of carbs on it aren’t that great,is that true? Any info would be great. |
