If the stator ohms to spec can it still be bad? Have a no spark issue. Trying to chase it down.

Yes.
Even the Yamaha service manuals say to test all the other components first, then replace the CDI. Then if the CDI doesn't fix it, replace the stator. Have seen more than a few that would ohm just fine, but would not run. |

Thanx man. i am puttin this quad back together from scratch. it was in pieces. the cdi box was crushed and had sum guts showin so i gt a used one off ebay. i hav everything put together and put a new coil and new stator on it. still have no spark. how do i check the cdi box?
