I have a 97 350 banshee. it was running but only firing 1 cylinder. looking at spark from coil 1 side was stronger than the other so I ordered new one. put new one on, no spark. ran down possible causes and found that stator & magneto were covered in rust and mud. cleaned them, still no spark so baught new rectifier, regulator, and stator still no spark. I figure I have either defective coil or just terrible luck.......lol......is there a way to bench test coil to make sure it is defective before I pay a restock fee? please give me some ideas....I'm all tapped out........thank you

If you picked up one of them Ricky stator "stators" thats probably your problem. i heard nothing but complains since the ol man passed away. did you set the gap on your pickup? i`m not positive of the gap. 0.18 to 0.21 i believe.
