Default 1989 Phazer LE Chain Case Driven Sprocket

Putting my chain case back together for an '89 phazer. I notice that the top sprocket in the chain case has a spacer between the bearing and the sprocket and when you tighten the nut it pushes the sprocket against the spacer which then pushes against the inner race of the bearing. Looking at the pdf file for this assembly it appears from outside to inside you have the cotter pin, nut, washer, sprocket, spacer and bearing.

Now on to my question. On the bottom sprocket (the driven sprocket) the pdf file shows (from outside to inside) a nut, lock washer, washer, sprocket and then the bearing. The pdf file does not show or have anything else between the sprocket and bearing. When assembled this sprocket is allowed to move on the drive shaft. I am assuming this is correct because of the pdf file, but I want to make sure? I kind of thought we would have to have something that pushes up against the inner race on the bearing but that appears to not be the case. So my question is does the bottom sprocket float and is there nothing that pushes up against the inner race on the bottom bearing?

Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.
