Thumbs up Electrical Issues

I have a 2000 SRX 700 that i recently just purchased. i am having issues with the gauges working improperly, the tachometer the fuel gauge, are all either not working or working intermittently. Also my temp light and oil sensor light come on right at start up whether the machine is hot or cold, i just went to my local yamaha dealer and purchased a new CDI box and this did not help whatsoever, any advice would be greatly appreciated

Default electrical problem

More than likely you have a rub through on your wiring harness where runs under the motor. Best thing to do is unplug your harness on one side. Tie a string to it and pull it out from under the motor. Look close for a rub through then rewrap harness, Pull it back through and hook it up and you should be good to go.
