Oil filter change on 07 Venture Lite

Hello, I'm new to the forum. I live in Longlac Ontario and have owned my Multi-purpose since I bought it new in 07. I've been busy removing cowelings in an attemps to change my oil filter myself this year... what a job. Now that everything I can take off is off, I still can't get access to the cartridge. I can see it, but getting my filter wrench around it is another matter. The coweling at the front of the sled, which is blocking access to the filter, isn't made to come off. It seems funny that Yamaha would permanently rivet the coweling that I would like to remove to get access. I'm thinking of breaking the rivets and finding some other way to get the coweling back on. Anybody have any experience with this?
