Thanks for all your comments, my next purchase is a decent lock ready for collage any ideas ? im looking at the squire chain or the oxford Big Boss Disk Alarm

To be honest, my policy has always been this:
If a thief wants to steal something of yours, he/she will. The best thing to do is to get an insurance policy that will cover you if its stolen and hope for the best once it is.

i was kinda thinking the same but my mum wants to get me one so i guess il just get something the acts a a deterrent, any man with a van could steal a ped

How much is she willing to spend? Not sure if you can get this but I got this for my bike (just for shits and giggles): [Only registered can see links. ]
You can set it so that if the ped leaves a specific area, you will get an e-mail or message to your phone. I'm guessing this should work in your country since it uses gps. Monthly it would be like $12/month or something like that

that looks awesome, il have a proper look at that nearer the time, the collage car park is locked with cctv during the say so i guess it would be pretty safe anyway.
