Default New (sorta) SS models

The last few months I've been waiting to see what Yamaha does to the current R6 since the R1 got redesigned last year. There's been talk that it would be a complete redesign, but well.......... NO.
The only things they changed has been:
-Added 100mm to the stock exhaust can
-New colors
-Messed around with the ECU to get back some power (probably what the 09 lost)
-Also the 2010 is 3 pounds heavier than the 2009 was

The R6 is now at $10,490 across the board, compared to the 2009 R6 which had different prices depending on the color (Black version was $9,990, Team Yamaha version (blue) was $10,090 and the Orange and Pearl White versions were $10,190).

Here are a few pics of the new colors/look of the 2010:

2010 Black R6

2010 Blue R6

2010 White R6

The R1 pretty much didn't change anything except add the Rossi version.

The base price for the 2010 R1's is $13,290 compared to the 2009's $12,490 and $12,390 (for the Yamaha blue/white version). The Rossi version comes in at $14,500.

Here are a few pictures of the R1's:

2010 Blue R1

2010 White R1

2010 Rossi LE R1

The new pipe on the R6's hideous. It was bad enough on the 06-09's, but making it longer on the 2010 was a bad move. Maybe it's to help the aftermarket community

but it could have some technical point rather than pure looks but who cares as most people junk the stock in favour of some after market system

Yea, it was supposed to add a couple of ponies back that the '09 lost over the '08. I think it was just a reason for the price change.

Well I would guess the bike will do up in price each year ... I used that as a selling point in the 80's .... XJ550 went from £1549 to £1749 with very little change so the five I had in stock became more valuable £1650 for the same bike ... but if there are major tech differences rather than looks the price increase may be worth it

Yea, a major difference probably isn't gonna happen til the 2011 model if not later with how shitty the economy is.

I think I like the Blue R1 the best as far as looks go. I don't think the pipe looks to bad. As long as it's fast and puts up with some competition who cares how it looks.
