Default Is the starter the only problem?

Alright. I went to Bikerfest in Bean Blossom, and my bike has had problems since that weekend. I have a Yamaha XJ 650 Maxim, and my starter went out about 2 weeks ago. I was still able to push start it, which was okay with me, just until I got the cash to fix my starter. Over the weekend, my bike decided to start acting up on me. I tried to push start the bike again (as normal) and it didnt want to start. After about half an hour of trying to push it, she finally fired up. Then about 5 miles down the road, the throttle just stopped working. I could pull it back, and it wasnt the cable, but when I pulled the throttle, it felt and sounded like nothing was even getting to the motor. I hauled it home and thought maybe I had water in the fuel tank. So I drained the tank, refilled it, put some seafoam in it and changed all the spark plugs. Now, when I turn it on, not only does the motor not even start to turn, due to the starter, but when I push it, it doesnt start. I think the throttle still isn't working. Any tips or hints to hlep me get this thing started without having to pay too much? I don't have a car, all I have is my bike.
