fuel tank

i have a 2004 yz 125. theres a little white insert thing that goes on the top. i think it seals the gas cap to the tank. i think its supposed to be glued on but mine isn't. does anyone know what im talking about? and what kind of glue will work to keep it on?

my dad said that just used a very small amount of super glue on his making sure it the glue dosent drip into the tank
