Model: 2009 YZF R 125 ~3000km's
Recently, the tachometer on my 125 is out of control. Upon starting the bike, the tach does it's normal startup routine of following through all the RPMs and back, however it starts at 4000RPMS and goes right through redline and back to 1000 RPMS then rests at redline. I'm 90% sure this is a problem with the tach needle or something as the bike is idling perfectly and is still a dream to drive. I can ride around as normal shifting by sound/feel but the tach will read off the chart. Shifting normal from 1st to 2nd gear will have the tach well past redline and around again to 3-4000rpms - SHIFT - then back to redline. I seriously don't understand this problem arising out of nowhere as the bike is relatively new and I haven't dicked around with the tach/clocks at all. Any ideas? Cheers, Andrew. |
