Default YZF 1000 R Thunderace clutch problems

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section, I could not find one for the Thunderace or -cat.

I've noticed some odd behavior from my bike recently, with the clutch not fully releasing when pressed. I used to drive with the adjustable travel on the lever at setting 3, but then it started to become really hard to change gears, could feel the bike pushing forward when clutched out. I changed the lever setting to 1 (giving the least travel of the lever before clutching out), and problem was temporarily solved. When it came back after some time, I had to put the lever "selector" in between two settings and again the problem disappeared, but I feared that it would return and I'd have no more to give on the travel of the lever.

It did come back, but sometimes it can be just fine. Seems like it's worse when the bike is cold, and the weather is cold and harsh. Not sure if there is a connection though, just thinking out loud.

Any thoughts on what this problem might be? I guess it's not a worn clutch, cause then the problem would be the other way around right, the clutch slipping more and more at less travel of the lever?

Hope i made my problem clear, English is not my first language! Also, just gonna leave this Homer here, cause he's a really cool guy:

It could be oil related, When was your last oil change? Have you changed brands around the time the problem started?

Yeah, I guess I should have included that in my original post.

I filled oil that same day as these problems first occured, but I didn't change oil. Bought oil same place as the bike had been serviced last time before I bought it, Yamalube 10w-40. So should be same oil I filled up with. Filled around 3dl.

I thought about oil being the issue, but couldn't quite figure out why/how it should cause these problems. Then again I don't really know that much about anything at all, so I should keep an open mind!

Did this new information give you something more to work with, Razorback? Maybe just do an oil change? It's getting close to the end of the season now, so I was thinking about doing it anyways.

It would be worth a try to see if it would help! How many miles on the clutch? and how many on the oil that is in it now? sounds like clutch discs are not releasing at times and that can be due to them being dry or not enough oil film staying on them.
