Default 2009 fz6 exhaust

hey guys..

just picked up a new 09 fz6 and im new to the steet bike side of motorcycles.. was wondering what i can do to make the stock exhaust a little louder. because right now i cant even hear it with the helmet on

Not 100% sure for the fz6, but guessing it has a catalytic converter on it. Replacing that with a y-pipe will make it louder. The downside is that money will be involved. Not only will you need to get a y-pipe but you will also need to get a FI (fuel injection) controller like a PowerCommander or Bazzaz if they make it for your bike.
