Except that Admins can ban your IP address so you would have to create a new IP address in order to sign in with a new name which is a pain in the ass

Unless I've been informed wrong, getting a new IP address takes more than just unplugging your modem. An IP address comes from your internet provider which will not give you a new IP address everytime you request it.
