Default 71 CT1 condenser -soldered?

Hi Guys:
I went to replace the points and condenser today on my 71 CT1 and had no problems with the points. However the condenser looked like it might be soldered to the wires. The new one just had a couple of 'clamping' tabs on top and the existing one appeared to be soldered in place. Do I need to unsolder and resolder the condenser to install it?
Any advide appreciated.
