Default New Toy...Barn Fresh

Hello...new to the board and new to Yamaha.

I just picked up a 1976 Yamaha XS750 Triple. 7000 miles and barn-stored for 30+ years. This should be a fun project. After many Italian bikes, I'm looking forward to restoring a vintage Yamaha.

Nice bike. I knew someone that bought a bike out of a barn for like $300. That thing looked really nice for an old bike. Too bad it had carbs, cause I sure would have loved to have it in my garage.

Nice bike !!! first thing to check is if the Hyvo chain mod has been done along with those awful clutch shims !!!! If you don't do the mod the Hyvo chain will eat through the crankcase ! ... check for 2 dots on the engine number plate .. next to the model ID (in the UK that was 1T5) if you see the dots a big problem solved ... btw Welcome
