The other day I was cruising along just idling in a no wake zone and the motor started trimming up by itself...I could trim it back down using the button but it would go right back up...I had to hold the button for most of the trip home to keep it down...so I went back and put the boat away...the next day my buddy and I went to go out on the boat and it wouldn't crank...the low oil buzzer was flipping out and the tach was reading all numbers from 0-99 sparatically. We assumed it was where his dog had chewed the wires and we spliced them..so we re-spliced all the wires and it changed nothing...my father (who's an electrician) siggested that it could be bad terminals or connections at either end. I'm thinking the wires running from the motor to the instrument panel are screwed up. I think that somewhere there's a bad connection that is tricking the motor into thinking that it has low oil preventing it from starting...any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated
