Hey ya'll, I just recently purchased a '94 Timberwolf 250 2X4 and I'm having problems getting it running. It had been sitting about a year after someone ran bad gas through it. Everything works, it just won't crank. I have taken off the whole fuel system, cleaned the tank, rebuilt the carb but it still won't fire up. The battery won't hold a charge, so I probably need a new one but it tries to crank- just can't do it. I put a new spark plug in, so it's getting fire and getting gas. I just don't know what else to do with it. I'm looking for any suggestions on what else I could do to get it going.
Thanks for any suggestions and for keeping this great forum going! Brian |

Did you make sure the choke was free. It is a piston that should slide out, but is usually stuck and requires much force to get out. I used a needle nose plier taped up to prevent damage, and went in at a sideways angle to force it out, and I mean forced. Then I sanded the piston with very light sandpaper rotating in a drill. It now works great. I chnged alot of parts on mine to get it running right.

One other thing, the float bowel on mine was a real pain to set. This is very important as no gas will be delivered. Pull it apart and make sure it is nearly full. Also move the needle to the 5th setting if no gas on the plug. I also replaced the starter and it made a world of difference, $56 shipped.
