Rust in tank

Greetings.
I have a XTZ that unfortunately doesn't get ridden that often. Rust has developed in the petrol tank. Does anyone know how to clean it out and prevent it from building up again?

2 ways to prevent it from happening again:
1. If you know you won't be riding the bike for a while, completely drain the tank of gas
or
2. Fill the tank all the way to the top and pour in some fuel stabilizer (make sure to read the directions on the proper amount of stabilizer to pour in).

Cleaning the rust out is a bit more tricky than preventing it happening. To remove the rust from the tank, first of remove & drain the tank, then remove all taps and caps, then blow the tank through with compressed air from the filler cap ... with luck the rust will exit from the tap orifice .. if it does not you need plan B ... if you don't get a good result post up & I'll do plan B

It's very odd that plan A fails I trust the compressor had an SWP of at least 500 psi .. if the compressor has a less SWP it could fail .... plan B is real last ditch so
