Default Tw-200

Here is a picture of my Duel Sport. Ride mostly off-pavement exploring Forest Service/Logging roads in N. California.

Default TW Mods

Here are a few notable mods that make my bike unique. By adding a Yamaha XT 600 tank, my fuel capacity increased by about a gallon.

Mod two for versatility. I like lots of 'go slow' pulling power and found the stock 14/50 to not provide what I thought I needed. Now I have both a 50 & 55 on the rear. This can be used with fixed length chain and cam for needed tension. Gerry

Further versatility gives me two sprockets on the primary shaft (14/15). When paired up the the duel rear, I get a 6 tooth spread. To me, this is a big difference that allows me to do my mostly 'slow go' on mt. trails, but keep the rpms to my likeing when on the flats. The ratio switch takes around 8 minutes and requires that I do nothing more than lift the rear wheel, rotate so chain moves to other combo. Adjust tension cam and rear brake rod. Gerry

Keep the engine cool (er). I ride slow and can make some long climbs during the hot Calif. Summer. Air flow is minimal and oil temps. seem to hover close to 300 degrees. About 7 feet of 1/4" copper tube is plumbed into primary shaft bearing outflow. Numerous observations suggest this netted me about a 20 degree drop in oil temp. Gerry

If you go slow (I do) you need more air flow. To futher drop engine (oil) temp. I added a 170cfm axial fan and shrouded the right side of the engine. This works nicely on long slow climbs and seems to net me an oil temp that seldom goes much above 230 degrees even when it is in the mid 90's during a long slow climb. Gerry

Cool mod there Gerry.....reminds me of the old skool Cool-Can mod used on old HotRods.
Your mods are definitely worth considering for my XT6.
