Can someone tell me about the xj550 82 is there anything I should really worrie about on this bike or is it just a ok bike I'm new to 4 stroke so wat should I be worried about

xj models are solid, nothing to worry about per say, but you do need to stay on top of the valves. the valve train gets tighter as it wears and if you dont keep them in spec you could burn a valve or worse. exhaust is more crucial than intake as intake draws cooler air while exhausts are expelling hot gases.
Its a pretty easy job and if you havent already checked them its past time. other than that have you looked at the rear brakes and verified there is NO delamination? |
