Found out when I got the new governor that the old one was wrong type so the ignition was much retarded. mounted the new one , sat the timing and it fired right up. It idles fine and smooth joust over 1000 rpm. Did a test run and it is willing and strong as I open it up. No hesitation in low rpm. I let it idle for some time to see how it reacts when it is hot. It feels like it is on the brink to stop when i just touch the trottle, But this is a major break thru. It doesnt seem like there are any major mechanical problem that would need opening the engine to fix, I will use my mercury columns to sync the carbs and see if that has any impact on the bike

Can you tell if there is something wrong and if so what, when i use the kickstarter it sounds like the starter engine takes a turn or so. And yesterday when i tried to kickstart it, it wouldnt turn the engine. As if the clutch was slipping. The clutch plates are pretty new, as in wery low mileage on them. Someone had put fully syntetic oil in the motor and i changed it to mineral 10w40, I see the book says 20w40. The starter is also sometimes spinning without engaging the engine when i push the button.

Hi
I don't quite understand you but I guess either the Kick start shaft or clutch has been assembled incorrectly ... .. but with the starter motor not engaging I would remove the engine cover & make sure that the engine turns freely !

I guess the starterclutch is worn so it is making a rattling sound when it doesnt grab. What do i need to replace to get the starterclutch in good condition again?

Is it enough to change the rollers or do i have to replace springs in starterclutch assembly to get it in woorking order. If anyone can get me a new woodruffkey for the rotorwheel, give me a note.

Replace the lot !!! .. the chance of getting a woodruff key is very remote but perhaps go for it

Default Omg!

Hi, wise guys! Can anyone tell me what is wrong with the bike? I tried to start it and it ran roughly. Then smelled gasolin and found out that something were dripping from the engine. I thougt it looked a bit dark to be gas, so i took out the measuring stick and what happened? It litterally gushed out a oil and gas mix and it wouldnt stop coming. I opened the drain plug underneath and it took some time for it to stop flowing. The gastank was almost full when i last used it and now it was almost empty! Poor engine! So what to fix? Is it the fuelcocks that needs to be rebuilt or is it the float jet needle that leaks? Im thinking sinse it has fuelcocks that are vacume operated that thats the problem, anyones guess is as good as mine.
