Hi There, New to the Forum. New owner of 1972 R5 350. What are the advantages and disadvantages of mixing the oil versus relying on the oil injection system? I can think of a few but I leave it to the more experienced members to chime in. Thanks.

![]() My advice is to use the autolube system as long as the pump is bled, the minimum pump stroke set, cable adjusted correctly and the cable in good condition it should run well. Don't forget if you premix you will have to remove the oil feed from the pump and rejet the carbs ... the reason being the premix fuel/oil mix will be a different density to the original neat fuel. With a bike of this age you may find different jets difficult to find
